Entrepreneur

Greg Watson has spent more than 40 years building businesses and has launched 14 startups. That experience is the backbone of Entrepreneurship Essentials: every module asks students to do what founders actually do, from noticing a problem to pitching the evidence that it's worth solving.

Educator

He teaches entrepreneurship at Pima Community College in Tucson, Arizona, where he has led the Business Department Pitch Competition. Before Pima, he taught in the McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Arizona's Eller College of Management and served as Director of its New Venture Development Program.

He wrote Entrepreneurship Essentials as a free, openly licensed (CC BY 4.0) textbook so that any student can learn entrepreneurship by practicing it, without the cost of a commercial text.

Scholar

Dr. Watson holds a PhD in Business from Northcentral University (2019), with an emphasis in e-commerce and digital marketing. His dissertation research focused on the consumer buying-decision process and the touch points that shape it.
